Application Description
Check valves play a key role in medical devices, which can effectively protect the health and safety of patients and prevent the backflow of body fluids or contamination of medical equipment or pipelines. They are commonly used in various medical devices, such as infusion systems, ventilators, cardiac catheters, artificial livers, artificial kidneys, etc.
In the infusion system, the check valve can prevent gas contamination or bacterial infection when infusing from the bag. At the same time, the check valve can also prevent the backflow of liquid into the infusion pipeline during infusion, thereby achieving a one-way flow of liquid.
In the ventilator, the check valve helps to keep the patient's airway open and ensure that there is no alveolar collapse or airway obstruction under negative pressure.
In the cardiac catheter, the check valve can prevent blood from backflowing to the end of the catheter and maintain the direction of blood flow. Otherwise, blood may enter the patient's lungs from the end of the catheter, causing serious problems such as pulmonary embolism.
